Manix to be discontinued!?

I just bought a Manix from the Spyderco booth at the Outdoor Retailer tradeshow. The folks at the booth said the Manix will be discontinued.

If so you better get one now. Wow is that a big folder!

I have no way of backing this up, but I doubt that Spyderco would discontinue the Manix now. I may be wrong (I was once before). I think the guys at the booth were trying to make a sale.

I was already buying it anyway when they told me this. So I doubt they cared. I sell tons of stuff at my booth (at wholesale.....); I don't care if someone buys or not. This is an industry show not a consumer show.
They said they sell so many more Mini Manix that they are going with it and 86ing the Manix. Just repeating what they said.

There were only two people at the Spyderco booth at OR last week, Joyce Laituri, who knows everything about Spyderco, and a FNG named Allan, nice kid.

I'll bet it was Allan that told you that, huh?

I not much of a fan of the Manix anyway now that I own one. It is too big a folder for my taste.

Maybe so. All I know is I made a post a few months ago and was immediately dismissed as wrong and in fact told that I was pressured into buying a Manix for that reason; as if I was some sort of sucker.

Beside Zenheretic it is of no consquence to me how you remeber me.
