Just logging this one in is all.

Got it in this morning. I quit Waving these thick arse S30V blades because its so easy to get frustrated and like grinding a rock with the wear resistance but call this one an ' I feel for ya' job because that is what it is.:D

I'll try to clean up this one for the owner when I get to it in line behind the others here.

I must sheepishly admit that this is my knife. Sorry STR, I didn't realize you'd given up on Manixes--Manixis--Maniexcesses--whatever...

Anything you could do would be an improvement over my butchery. Work it in when you can.

For those horrified at my despoiling this fine and now discontinued Spyderco, I didn't embark on my "project" until I bought a second one to keep intact.

Good luck, STR. Do what you can, then slap her on the butt and send her home.

Well my friend. This is about as cleaned up as I can get it. I did make a new clip for it as requested, and the Wave is more refined and finished. I'll be there all year to get those deeper scratches out though. Sorry. It may not show it but I spent a good deal of time on this one trying to clean it up best I can for you. It is better. I don't know that its what you had hoped though. The blade is also reshaped as you asked for.

Thanks

Looks like a significant improvement, Steve. I appreciate all your time and effort. I've learned my lesson about the graceful usage of a Dremel. No more espresso beforehand! I look forward to getting her back, and I always like to see a new clip with your runes on it.

The Ugly Little Manix came home today; now a lot prettier. The new clip is a great improvement over that thin, sharp-edged factory clip--and the wave works even better than the crude hook I put on it originally. You did a nice job reshaping the blade into a graceful spearpoint.

Con muchas gracias, amigo.

Glad you got it safe and sound and that you like it fine.

Thanks
