I picked up a Manix 2 XL over the weekend, and I am reaelly happy with it. It is the first really big Spyderco I have bought in years. I also think the new big Manix is a great deal for a USA Spyderco since it is nearly $50 cheaper than a standard S30V Military. Unless you just had to have a very thin or super light knife, I can't see where the Military is worth the extra money anymore.

the manix2 and military i thin k are preference though, the style is different, and the locking is different. im quite fond of both. hopefully this summer ill be picking up a manix2

I really like both, and I agree they're both definitely different styles, the Military does carry easier being lighter and thinner in pocket (not as wide as the Manix 2 XL)

I'm a big fan of the Manix XL. Hopefully they will make some sprint runs with it. S90V, Elmax,M4 or maybe CTS-XHP

Love the Millie...s30 and m390. What a knife.
Ive never jumped at the manix.
Where's the military xl? That would be oh so sweet.

I picked up one last week and I like it a lot. The only issue is I had with it is the blade finish was pretty bad (the scratch lines were crisscrossed in some places). I bead blasted it and resharpened it and it is now one of my favorite Spydercos. Awesome knife!

This Manix 2 XL rides really well in the pocket. It is pretty large for EDC, and a no no for work, but it is a very comfortable knife.
