Excellent knife, get the little one also so you have a matched set....and better throw in the chinook II for good measure...all are wonderful knives and spend their time in my pocket.

I thought the question was whether you were going to go back for the Yojimbo...

Stories eh? If it weren't for my thumbnail, I would of lost the tip of my thumb splitting firewood the other night thanks to my manix. As it is, I just have a bruised thumb, a good slice through my nail and a bit of blood loss. :P

vivi, good story. bloody good.

jeffrey, i was planning on getting the Yojimbo, but when i held the manix in one hand and the yojimbo, the Manix just got me so i left with it. Mike said he liked the Manix better than any other MBC rated Spyderco blade and the more and more i carry it and hold it, the more i see what he means. I am going to be carrying the Manix for quite sometime i can tell ya that much. it is a TANK!

You were splitting firewood with a folding pocket knife? :(

Do a search for "Reviews of Large Folders". There was one some time back on the British Blades forum. The Manix kicked the butts of the Sebbies and Striders big-time in a real world cutting contest. Greatest knife around, bar none.

You're lying. The Sebenza has a magical spell upon it that makes it cut and perform better than any knife in the world, ever. :jerkit:

Yap. Not hard to do if you're crafty. Especially with the manix.

Tsk tsk Rat, you compromise your dignity with nearly every post you direct towards me. I'd welcome seeing your intelligence put towards a more productive cause.

fighting on a message board is pointless fellas. rise above it. there are smart asses everywhere. ignore them and enjoy the talk.
