It's been a battle, but I managed to find a PE CF Manix2 in S90v for $165.00 and I ordered a PE G10 Manix2 in 154 CPM for $70.00.

Are these really hot right now? It has been very difficult finding them anywhere at a reasonable price. All the retailers that kept the prices reasonable were sold out.

On a side note... How do you guys feel about the Manix when taking the Paramilitary into consideration?

Thanks in advance.:D

Sounds like you got great deals on both knives.

The CF Manix 2 wins in ergos, lock, thumb ramp, looks open and closed, low riding tip up, well everything really except I like the edge shape better on the Para it has a bit more belly.

My Paras handle is modified which makes it a little less black and white.:)

Interesting, I was thinking the blade on the Para looked a bit better as well.

I forgot to add in my first post that I am eagerly awaiting these. And I would appreciate it any of you fine gentlemen would post a picture or two of your Manix's.

I also want to add that the only reason I stated the price at which I obtained these knives was to prevent others from spending too much. I saw a PE G10 Manix2 for 139.99...

After EDCing an M2 for a couple weeks, I would say it's up there with the Para.

But if you're going to compete with the Para you need the FFG S90v model. I still prefer the blade shape of the Para, as well as the compression lock. The CBBL on the M2 is too stiff. I know that's what Spyderco wanted so it's fine, however, the smooth operation of the compression lock is still better imo.

The Manix2 is a tank, and definitely a contender for top spot in my EDC rotation right now though.

The S90V Manix 2 is basically sold out, except a few ones being sold one at a time on eBay by sellers like Spydieguys. At this stage, 165$ is a very good price, although it could be found for less right after the release last month.
As for the PE 154CM, 70$ is what Jeff at Cutlery Shoppe charges, so it is a very good price, and these are not that hard to find.

Today is my first EDC day with the 154CM manix 2.
I picked up the combo edge for $85 as I couldn't find any plain edge versions from any trustworthy looking dealers at a fair price.
Reiterating on what was said above, this is a fantastic knife for the cost. Everything just feels right on the knife. Everything except the CBBL, which peels skin from my thumb when I disengage it. To be honest though, that's the only thing keeping me from playing with it at work. :D

Considering someone just sold one for $210 on the exchange, I would say they are very hot.

IIRC it was a sprint run of only 400. Less then the CF/S90V Millies and less then the CPM D2 Millies.

This is an excellent picture. Although, now I want my Manixs' more.:D:thumbup: I really like the sabre grind on the G10 model.
