I'm going to try to make this as concise as possible, please bear with me if it gets too wordy.

The last SPCO I owned was some FRN model back in the mid '90s, I wasn't too impressed and at the time the store selling it had a pretty high price.

A couple days ago I went to a daily meeting of knife enthusiasts, a Manix 2 was put on the table as part of the "pocket dump" by Jeff, who has an internet store. NIB, made an offer that had me drooling when Fuzzy said he'd toss in $20.

I ran to the ATM and bought the knife.

BM had me at hello with the axis lock, SPCO had me wondering with the CBBL, wonder no more, it's slick, tight and feels good in hand.

The only thing I think I'll eventually change is a trip to Tom Krein for a full flat grind, but the jury is still out on that.

Sitting next to my BM 950, it's like looking at the same idea from two designers, finger choil being the main difference.

I love it, you guys got it right, and I for one LOVE the CBBL for the same reason I LOVE the axis, I'm a lefty and they're both solid designs.

You got my business with the lock, I look forward to new and old designs with it.

I will be honest i did own a benchmade 710 one of the first knives i brought i loved the axis lock and how smooth the action was, stupidly i traded it out. Like you i was intrigued with the locking system on the manix 2. Now i own 2 of them. love the action, love the smooth opening, love the I could go on and on benchmade have now got some serious competition. Well done spyderco.
