Sending a Manix2 that I just picked up in a trade for a spa treatment. Really like the knife alot but was dull and whoever tried to sharp it tried to put a new grind on it or something below the factory edge. Have been wanting to try there warranty service for awhile but never had the need myself. This seemed like the perfect opporitunity to send one in. It was missing screws in the clip and on the left hand side one of the screws had been snapped off in the hole. I would love to hear about your experiences with their great warranty service!

I wish I had some real good story about their warranty service but my particular situations didn't end up great. That said there are tons of people that have had great service.

The only thing I would be worried about is the broken scale screw. They now say your warranty is void if you disassemble your knife. They may say your warranty is void and they won't do anything or you have to pay for any services. Although I would think they would sharpen it for you. This is only speculation though.

Is the broken screw or any part of it still in the knife? If there is any way you can get any broken piece out, do it and say it fell out and you don't know where it fell.

Good luck and hopefully they take care of you.

I am a righty and the screw being broke flush on the left scale doesnt really bother me. Gives her some character :)

I have mixed feelings about the warranty service. I recently sent in 3 knives (Delica, Endura, Dragonflly) in because of up and down blade play and for fun, thought I'd try out their sharpening service.

I'm happy to say that they fixed the blade play in two of my knives however the Delica was "within specs". There is still enough blade play that if I move the blade up and down, I can hear an audible noise.

As for sharpening, whoever sharpened my knives that day did a terrible job. When I sent in my knives, they all had a 15 degree angle (30 inclusive) edge but when I got them back, they were OVER 25 degrees (50 inclusive). That's right...they were well over 25 per side. Also, I could tell that my blades had a lot of steel removed. It was a pretty obvious visual difference.

I think that I just got really unlucky with customer service. I hope that you have a better experience than me.

Well my point was that while it may not bother you in the least, you may not have a warranty and any work you were wanting to get done won't happen because the knife has been disassembled. I was just trying to offer a plausible alternative to what could have happened besides someone over torquing the screw and twisting the head off.

This has happened to people and they got their knife back just how they sent it in with a note saying the knife had been disassembled and the warranty was void. However, I'm sure there are people who haven't had a problem for whatever reason. Good luck.
