Manix2 in s110v performance?

How does this knife perform against Delica4 ffg in vg10.I know s110v holds edge longer,but delica is thinner , which one slices better,and which one is better all around knife?

This is not an easy answer, there are a several considerations.

The Delica is a backlock design. Some people like the more advanced BBL design, some people are happy with the backlock.
The Delica is much smaller than the Mnx2. So it depends on what size you like.
S110V is a more wear-resistant steel but is harder to sharpen.
The Delica blade is thinner all the way down, the Manix 2 is thin for the last half of its length. I don't see any slicing problems with it.

I like everything about the Manix 2. I had a Delica but my daughter took it.
 
Depends on how they fit your hand, what type of medium you're cutting, lock preference, finger choil preference, the edge angle and grit finish you prefer to run, local laws, apperance, etc. etc. etc. In short, there's almost no way to explain why one knife is better than another without setting several parameters. I'd rather carry the Manix 2 at work for sure (Construction), however after work I'd carry the Delica because it carries nicer. My dad carries a ZDP Delica everyday (Also construction) because he likes the way it fits his hand. I have about 8 knives I prefer for work, and will choose each based on the tasks I expect to be doing on that day to maximize my versatility. My CruWear Manix and S110V Manix are on the list, but my Damascus Delica isn't, for obvious reasons.

What do you normally use your knives for? Do you use low grit or high grit finishes, and obtuse or acute edge angles? How important is ease of carry (If you only use your knife once every few days the Delica would make more sense for sure because it carries a lot more unobtrusively)?

If you are asking Manix 2 vs Delica, then they are 2 very different knives. Get both, carry both and you will instinctively reach for one over the other depending on the task at hand.

If you are asking s110v vs vg10, then we are going to need a lot more info. It is like asking if a helicopter or a tank is better... what do you plan on doing with it?
 
I recently cut up a lot of old carpet that was being replaced.

While my ZDP Delica cut very well, I didn't use it long. My Manix2 LW S110V felt more secure in-hand and cut like a light sabre.

BTW, my ZDP Delica has regained its role as my main EDC over the Manix2, mainly cuz it takes up less pocket space. Still eagerly awaiting the HAP40 Delica.
 
I have delica and endura already,and delica is super easy to carry ,and probably carry it the most these days.Ill get manix2 in s110v,my favorite steel is s30v as I like coarse edges better.
 
If you have the ability to take the Manix in S110V down to about 12-15dps, at a medium grit edge (think brown Sharpmaker stone or about 600-800 on WE) the S110V cuts like a laser. It will continue to do so for a very long time. My experience with VG10 is that it takes a very nice edge, super sharp, but it isn't even in the same league as S110V.
