Manly Folding Knives from Bulgaria - Any experience?

I have the chance to buy one or two of these knives. one in buffalo horn and one deer horn. I think the price is fair. Is there anyone who used one of these knives and had experience with them. there are some videos out there on tube. very impressive. any thoughts?

They seem decent, 12C27 takes a keen edge, remind me of French regional knives such as, Yssingeaux, Aurillac, Crosse, etc. if you pick them up I'm sure a review would be of interest to others here.

Those are pretty cool - and there's a D2 option as well.
If you do get one, I'd definitely be interested in a review, as well. :)
 
These do look jolly nice. The price certainly is good (direct link to mftrs sites are ok).

I may very well pick one of these up myself at this price.

I'm just not sure what the piece of metal on the handle is all about, is that the lock??
Is it like a 'reverse' liner lock do you think??
 
it is a reverse liner lock :) you have to pull it to close the knife. the lever pushes the backspring up and the knife closes. what I see in the videos is that the knife opens up with a solid 'klak' sound.
 
Interesting. I have sent them an email because it appears they only ship within Bulgaria.

Actually, just a query. No harm in asking.

I do wonder about the construction similarity of these and the 'lesser' Laguiole models that I've seen.

Nice-looking knives, not entirely sure about them, but always good to see something different. I've got all the locking folders I need with the daft UK knife laws though.
 
Since the last message I canceled my buffalo horn order for a deer horn handle and i received my knife yesterday :)
What a great knife it is! Very elegant, pretty, but also very strong. the lock is strong, no blade play, scary sharp out of the box. Yes, it's a big knife but not so heavy. the pictures are not so good, the color of the handles are much more beautifull. the handles on both side are different in shape, but i think this adds character and uniqueness to the knife



 
Very nice looking, and the blade shape is my favorite slender clip. Should be great.
 
I ordered and paid for mine on 2-28-21. The website showed it as being in stock. I've sent emails and messages, but have not received any information.

I've known packages to take 3 months to get across The Pond, both ways, that's without the current pandemic :thumbsup:
