So is there any interest? Manly Can do as little as 50 knives with a discount or 100 knives with a bigger savings, has not got back to me on that.... looks like s90v or d2 for steel choices ,has various g10 colors, myself I would like a brown g10 with s90v or possibly dark green, anyhow what do you all think..prices on current stock are very reasonable

Which model? Patriot fixed or one of the folders? I may be in for either depending on the price and G10 options.

I've liked the look of their knives since the comrade. I might be in for one if the price is right.

My only contact with a BF "club" knife is the annual traditional subforum knife; it's a lovely tradition, and it's produced some interesting knives. What's the process like in general? I seem to remember Spark needing to sign off on any knives using the BF name, and no profit being made by anyone but the manufacturer, being part of the Trad process, but I could be wrong.

I believe D2 and S90V as steel options means BITEME is talking about the Peak, not the Patriot (which comes in D2 or CPM 154).

I’ve got a Comrade in my pocket right now. Great knife, and their version of D2 [1.2379] is excellent. If this could be shipped to members direct from Bulgaria then I’m in; if it has to come via the USA, then sadly no: we get shafted by customs duty.

The Peak it's the folder ,has a spyderco type hole,I prefer the backlock but it looks like they off a liner lock and even one that has both on one knife, they have it on the Manlyusa website..check it out.I don't know how Spark would work it out but I think we could be able to manage something.Manly has recently done a Forum knife for a group in Europe, came out super nice comes with our forum logo all is included in the cost. Want to see what kind of interest we can garner before moving forward, obviously.

There was mention in the Traditional Forum of possibly getting a fixed blade this year.

I'm certainly interested. I'd vote for the D2 variant to keep the cost as low as possible, but will buy either.

I assume we're looking at a special handle scale color/material? Brown and dark green g10 are boring. The Patriot comes in ironwood, let's do that. Still brown, but more interesting than g10.

Also, to make it simpler, you may also want to get a retailer involved. They can make the bulk purchase from Manly and then resell the knives at a small markup. Seems easier than trying to get a solid commitment from 50+ strangers.

Wish you woulda mentioned it before I bought mine, extremely pleased with my s90v Peak.

I'd be interested if it's the back lock. I'm a lefty. I don't care for liner locks. How about CF?

I could be interested in one. I would vote for D2 to reduce the price and open the possibility of buying multiples. s90v is probably more collectible but the D2 price is more comfortable for some of us to turn it to a user.

I would definitely buy one; great idea. The quality on my slipjoint Manly is amazing for the price.
Yep!

I’d talk about the click-click-click-CLACK, but I feel awkward talking on the interwebs about how much I enjoy playing with my Manly Comrade... ;)

It sounds only slightly more disturbing than ‘fondling my Manly Peak’.

I'm a fan of their D2.

This image of a Comrade wearing my edge was taken by @Gary W. Graley last year some time I think:

Took a great edge and cut really well. He was kind enough to let me borrow his to test it out. Unfortunately the obscene number of half stops and lack of one hand opening didn't work for me. I'd be excited to try out a Peak.

I struggle with how Spyderco inspired the blade is. Do they license the hole?

I like some other aspects of the design though like the jimping on the lock bar, the way you mount the clip from the side, the plate that fills in the clip recess and the fact that the jimping is on the index finger spot instead of on the thumb ramp. I do like how utilitarian it looks.

I too am curious about the hole. @Lyubomir Trayanov might be the person to ask for accurate information, or Sal, of course.

The Manly I’ve currently got my eye on is the traditional with the buffalo handle. In fact, I’m past the stage of having my eye on it, more at the I am going to buy it point.

I'd be down for a Manly Peak IF we could find out if the round hole had been used with the proper permission from Spyderco.

Also, need to get Spark onboard before this goes any further.

Blade Forums has done modern folders as a forum knife in the past. I have a Skyline that was a forum knife.
