Forgive my ignorance But, what's the difference between Gabon ebony and african black wood ?? Ken

I finally figured out how to upload pictures. Please check them out and tell me what you would have done differently.

I wont be offended by any criticism I really want to know what other people like in a knife

Ken I cant tell you if there is any difference in the woods

Thanks for looking
Paul

As I understand, in the old days any wood from Africa being black or almost black was called 'Ebony'.
Now that name is restricted to wood from only one kind of tree.
All the rest that was also called ebony now goes by the name of 'Blackwood'

Please correct me if I am wrong.
