Mantis drop- oh boy!

My first thought "One piece of pocket lint caught in the gears will render your knife unable to open"

$144 for 440C? Admittedly machining costs for this knife are higher then a regular one I would imagine.

I'll pass but variety is the spice of life they say.

Just received notice on this, really like how unusual it is, part of my unused collection if I decide to invest.

That's made by Mantis, not by WE. I would advise avoiding Mantis like the plague, but to each their own.

I very much doubt that Mantis is made in the USA any more than it's just assembled here, if that.

Definitely different. At first I thought that the pic was a cross section so we can see the internals, but after checking out more pics on the site that does not seem to be the case. It's just asking for stuff to get in there and gum up the works.

Besides the internals showing, the profile is fairly basic and not unappealing, but also far from jaw dropping.

I am curious to see a video of how it works.

Interesting, but I'll pass on the Mantis.

Combining two things I don't like, Massdrop and Mantis, into a reverse peanut butter cup of suction? I'll take seven please.
I don't care what anyone says. I think it will go with your new hat.

I'm sure it's just a linerlock with gears added for looks.
