Looks like wpd818's account was hacked -- either that or he suddenly got the urge to try pasting in spam faster than we could despam it.

wpd818, if your account was hacked send me an email.

I owned the fixed blade version of that knife as well as a couple others. They are very well built. I see that they are now offering an unconditional lifetime warranty, so that's a big plus. There is a lot of confusion about where these are made. Does your knife have a COO stamp?

I look through their website and I personally don't like their style. The only 2 I would consider are the churchkey and the caliper.

The ones I had were a lot more comfortable in hand than they look. They were also very well made. I wrote an email with some questions to them, and received a prompt answer, though they never answered the question of origin. If they are using this type of advertising though, I say screw 'em.

They are one of the companies that use E-Bay as a store front, makes it harder to return an item or get your money back.

I bought one of their keychain knives. An oval shaped handlw with a chisel grind one hand opening hawkbill, and a bottle opener/screwdriver.

Fit and finish are flawless. Lockup perfect. Very high utility factor. Wasn't too expensive.

Mantis doesn't parade country of origin. It seems they may come from at least a couple different Asian countries.

I've got quite a few Mantis Knives, these knives represent some of the best BANG FOR THE BUCK value out there, for real.

NAY-SAYERS- IF YOU ARE BEING A NEGATIVE NANCY, IT'S CUZ YOU DON'T OWN ONE YET. PERIOD.

I've got knives from all manufacturers and some stuff from some custom makers. The guys at Mantis use S30V, 154CM, AUS8, some high quality stuff...

The designs are daring (not your grandpa's knife). They talk about being a company for the "younger" buyer, and aim their prices at the same group.
