I thought 420 steels were complete crap???

They are made in Taiwan. There is one folder made with S30V and one fixed blade made with 154CM. The others are made from 420HC - similar to what CRKT and Buck use in their knives. They aren't expensive and have pretty good fit and finish. I doubt they will be very intersting to this group but there is a market for them.
