Check this out. Looks like somebody thinks they have a "new" idea, to offer a multi tool that can be custom-built to the buyer's specifications. Seems like Gerber tried this a few years ago, with their "Build-Your-Own" Multi-Plier campaign.

Scrolling down through the blade choices, I must say they have thought of some interesting options. I've never seen a "handcuff key" available on a plier multi tool before, nor a "CD eject/reset button spike."

I guess ya just never know when one of those might come in handy.

Thanks for the link. I don't understand the point of the website, though. Are they actually selling a customizable multi-purpose tool?

I like the smooth jumps in bids - from $150 to $1025 in just 3 bids. Gee, I wonder if those are real ebayers and real bids?? It's amazing the stuff you can find on the internet.

Hey I think my Mantool is loose, do you suppose I need to tighten it?

Now what would happen if several older-generation women heard you say that?

Personally I'm not gonna take that risk, hence I'm not ever gonna buy one of those "Mantools". Business wise, the idea doesn't make that much sense either. Why would you sell a built-to-order multi-tool for people who like to work with tools and would more than likely build one better by themselves anyway?

Bob , Here is an earlier multi tool with handcuff key , the ASP T2 Tac-Loc Knife...........
I do remember you mentioning that tool, now that you remind me.

I'm wondering if these "Mantool" guys have a clue that all of their "new, innovative concepts" have already been thought of and brought to market years ago?
