Manual Citadel?

Any chance of this ever happening? I love to look of the Citadel, particularly the all-black DLC blade version, but I'm not in love with the used market prices or all the red tape around owning an auto or getting it serviced as someone outside the LEO/first responder community. I can legally own an auto in AZ, but still, seems like a hassle.

That having been said, I'd still LOVE to have one some day, and I feel that a manual version with G10 scales and S30V blade steel (heck, even DLC VG-10) with a Ball Bearing Lock (a la Manix 2) would be amazing. Heck, I'd still buy one as a frame lock or lock back, if needed, but would really prefer the BB Lock. Open the Spydiehole a bit, but keep the blade and handle shapes the same. :)

What do you think, Sal? Re-introduce the Citadel pattern for use by us "normal" folk, with a few tweaks? :D I'd be all over it! Anybody else have any interest in this idea?

I don't own either, so just a shot in the dark here as far as similarity, but maybe you'd enjoy the D'Allara?

I want one. Can't legally carry an auto in my state. So never got myself a Citadel. But as far as the looks and ergos go, it was very close to my grail knife.

The Embassy might be easier. The closest thing is the Manix 2. If they changed the blade to a modified sheepsfoot it could work.

That is the knife that most closely resembles the Citadel in my mind.

The D'Allara looks nice, certainly the closest to a Citadel that I've seen. It's still missing certain angles on the Citadel that I find appealing, but it still looks good. However, the D'Allara appears discontinued, so I'll have to wait for one to pop up on the Exchange.

I'd still be interested in a manual Citadel... :)
