Manual Folder in Oakland, CA

Hello all,

I looked through previous posts and wasn't sure what the law was for this. I have a friend who's planning on buying a Syderco Police knife and he lives and works in Oakland. I just wanted to make sure that this would be legal for him to EDC it.

He should be fine in Oakland; best not to display it if he goes into Berkeley, though (local ordinance with 3" limit).

The City of Oakland has the same (identically worded) 3" limit as does the City of Berkely. You cannot have a knife with a blade over 3" even on your own property!
