Manual Stiletto-Style Folders?

It's been a while since I've asked for any recommendations on knives - I've gotten familiar with the full catalogs of most of the common brands, but I seem to have gotten stuck trying to find a particular knife design.

I've developed an interest in stiletto-styled spear point blades (mostly an aesthetic/collection thing, I'm not concerned with the utility of the blade shape), and I'm having trouble finding one that suits my needs.

Here are the requirements:
- Manual opening.
- Quality F&F, absolutely zero blade play -I've been spoiled by ZT and CRK.
- 4 inch blade (this is flexible).
- Decent blade steel (154CM or better).
- Spear point, especially if the design mimics classic Italian stilettos.
- Budget: Ideally under $200, but this is flexible if everything else is there.

The only contenders I've been able to find are the Cold Steel Ti-Lite and Camillus Cuda Maxx. I'm not a fan of the materials in the Ti-Lite and have heard questionable things about its durability, and the Cuda Maxx is a bit larger and more expensive than I'd like, plus it's D2 (I prefer high corrosion resistance steels). If you want to try to talk me in to either of those knives, go for it - otherwise let's hear your suggestions!
Thanks in advance for your help!

The Lionsteel Daghetta is very nice, available with either G10, Aluminum or CF handles, all of those come with either plain or black DLC coated D2 blades. Very stylish knife.

Man, that's pretty sweet! I thought I was familiar with all of LionSteel's knives but that one had escaped my attention. Blade HQ lists the steel as 440C rather than D2, but I trust LionSteel to handle 440C correctly.

I was hoping to find something a little closer to a traditional stiletto design if possible, but this is definitely on the right track. Thanks for the suggestion!

Edit: Odd... LionSteel's website says it's D2, but the blades are clearly marked 440C in their images. Don't know what to think about that.

I recently posted in another thread the url for the Aceros de Hispania stiletto penknives.

I have been trying to find an American distributor for them with no luck.

I ordered a few of these one time but canceled the order due to some customs and credit card conversion issues that came up right before shipment, none of which were the fault of Aceros de Hispania. They were in fact caught in the middle and their CS was outstanding during the mess.

I have no idea what the final cost would be to get one of these to your house but if you decide to do it I hope you post it here. I think their penknives are very cool.

If you are ok with a 3.25 inch blade you can get a benchmade 530 which is in a way similar to the lion steel pictured above in terms of looks, but the 530 has FRN scales so if you prefer G10 pick up the 531 same knife just with G10 scales. I have the 530 at my store. Very light weight, small, and slim for the pocket if you want a sleek dress knife that wont weigh down slacks or the sort i say you should look into it. But check it out in hand to see if you like it, I notice you're in southern california, if you got time you can go into your local sport chalet to see if they have the 530 in store the knives will be in their gift center for southern cal stores. If they dont have them in stock ask to transfer one in. You dont pay a penny but you wait a week or so for it to ship to the store and they let you know its there. They will ask you to enterprise order which is you actually buy it just say no and ask to transfer. I always reccomend getting a knife in hand if possible before purchasing.

**to a mod, im not trying to do a dealer sales thing, im just reccomending a way the OP can hold the knife without paying a penny, which is why i say not to do an enterprise order.

I'm really digging some of those designs! I tried adding one to cart to see what it would cost to get it shipped, but it says "Because of Spanish legislation, we can not send the products labeled in red to your country." That's really a shame, I would have bought several. I'll have to do some poking around to see if there's another way to get my hands on one. Thanks, I never would have found those on my own!

benchmade 530

I had my eye on one of those a while back, and almost pulled the trigger. I like the design (in particular the handle design), but what I'm really looking for is something closer to 4 inches and a skinny blade that evokes the old Italian stilettos.

The closest I've seen to a manual based on the Italian stileeto look is the Boker Night Watch. It's on the small side, however. Works great for me because I have small hands but be advised.

Yeah, man....they're very cool knives. I'm finding that a lot of people weren't even aware of them and I've never seen a single mention of that company here.

If you find out anymore like who in the U.S. might be a distributor, or if you do buy one, please post it. I'd like to find out more about them myself.

In a way I wish I'd gone through with my transaction with them a couple years ago. Again, the experience I had dealing with them was excellent. What I experienced with their customer service was superb. As usual, it was the changing exchange rate and customs regulations that threw the wrench into the works. I got nervous about it and bailed.
