manufacturer heat treat question.

I'm rather curious about manufacturers like ontario's heat treatment for its blades. I wonder if their machetes gets the same heat treat with their RTAK's. If they do get the same heat treat, then why the price difference? Or is RTAK's heat treat really justifies their cost? This question applies to all manufacturers that have the same steel for similar blades but huge price differences.
