Got the steel, and the knowledge (my own opinion), time is the only thing that is short, and money too!.. made it over to IG's today and got some of the drilling and tapping of threads complete. Next time I get to IG's we'll get most everything else done. Used Pendentive's suggestion and picked up the drive train....WHOOPEE for me....couldn't beat that price.

Got enough steel for 2 units, mine and HammerFall's. He came over and helped me with the drilling, (real precision stuff, right?).

All I need for a complete unit are the wheels that I will use for the grinder, definately platen for now, 2" and 4" wheels, (hollow grind in the future, 14" wheel for that one). With the platen I want to build, I guess I could make an acute hollow grind. The wheels WILL come from Rob Frink, (there's that money thing again).

I'll let you know how things transpire in the near (very near) future.
:D :D

measure 37 times drill once. we got all of larry's eyes working ovetime to make a nice precise piece. i'm glad i have good friend to help me out. and i guess IG too. as soon as larry mails me and lets me know the stuff i need i'll start ordering my pieces. hey maybe larry will give me a welding lesson or two. i know i need it
