I would like to show how I make knife of damask feathers.
Unfortunately I only have two hands. I can not take pictures during forging.
Therefore, some photos are missing. Mainly steel welding.
Damascus steel is made of steel Wnr. 1.1645 and Wnr. 1.1259.
The handle is made ​​of Amboina and buffalo horn.

Can you give me any more information on how you welded the threaded rod (mild steel) to the high-carbon tang? Did you use a MIG or stick welder? Did you have to preheat the joint to get the weld to stick?

I use coated electrode Böhler FOX 7018.
Discord keeps very well.
Thorn in the handle is secured with epoxy glue.
Thread then loses purpose.
