I just wanted to say I took the time and read Manufacturing Philosophy and Capability by RAT on the web site. I feel I am almost looked down upon some times when I go 1000 miles or 1000 dollars out of my way to stick by what I believe in. Me being short on money due to putting myself and girlfriend thru college at this current time and have been for a couple years. Sticking to what I think is the right thing and what I believe in is very hard to do. I just wanted to thank RAT for making this a little easier. Great job RAT.

I think your right on the money with doing what you believe in. It isn't always the "easiest" way or most "popular" way of doing things, but it's the "right" way. RAT's customer service is almost unheard of in the world today, but because of that and their products, I know I'll always be a customer of RAT cutlery. It really does make it easier to stick by what you believe in when you know that there still are others out there who do the same.

I couldn't have said it better. My wife and I don't make a lot of money but we always try to spend it with companies like RAT. As a skilled worker (I use that loosely in my case) I think it's my obligation to support others out there doing the same. And as a US citizen I think it's my duty to support the American people. As a moral human I cannot ignore the actions of a company just to get a cheaper product.

I'm glad that RAT and companies like them are out there. I only wish they where all like that.

I try to, whenever possible, buy american made products. Not that I feel they are always superior or because I hate anyone from any other country, but because I was an american manufacturing tech for several years and had my good job stripped from me and moved over seas. I try to support american workers.

RAT is now moving forward with some non-knife products that are made in south america. Personally, I'm totally OK with supporting our brothers and sisters to the south and know that Jeff thinks about the social ramifications that his support will have in the communities that his work is placed in.
