Today is a day of thanks. We so often dwell on what rights and privileges we are denied. Today, let all of us truly thank our maker for placing us in the greatest land on this planet. A country that enjoys freedom and right to personal expression more so than any other country.

Happy Thanksgiving

To keep this knife related, anyone use a Busse BM to carve their Thanksgiving turkey? Any other odd choices of bladeware for slicing slabs of white meat?

Happy turkey back at ya! And we are indeed blessed, in so many ways. I stropped two knives yesterday in preparation for today. A Henkels slicer, and a Buck Nighthawk. The Henkels for the smoked turkey which should be done any time now, and the Buck for the fried turkey which should be done shortly before we get fried;)

Hear! Hear!

Be thankful that in many countries, knives of reasonable length are still allowed to be carried.

Be thankful that there are many excellent custom knifemakers selling their wares at affordable prices.

Be thankful that most of us have more than five knives that can make our day brighter and our chores easier.

Be thankful that among so many here, there are many learned ones who are more than willing to share their knowledge with the rest.

Be thankful that our families and our wives are understanding enough to allow us to carry on with this wonderfully addictive pastime.
