Hey guys,
Here is one hot off the bench. It's that time of year for hunters. Please let me know what you think off this one. Forged blade of 1075, 416SS fittings with a fiber spacer, handle is blister curl maple with a little silver wire.
Thanks for looking.

Very Nice! Interesting shade of stain, what type do you use?

Mace came by and showed me this honey. I snatched it out of his hands and headed straight for the photo box. Too cool for school!

Nicely shown, still. We both chose almost the exact layout. :D

I'm not surprised at your applause.

that is very pretty.

Beautiful elegant hunter

I really think you got the tip right

Pointy but not to pointy some people always put those round upswept tips on a hunter and my preference is a knife that starts cuts well

When skinning an animal you start your cuts with the tip

Very nice hunter, Mace, and the wire inlay spices it up.
Sweet package.

Really nice and clean. I am also a fan of how you stain/dye your maple. It really looks sweet! Nice.

very nice work Mace. You sure managed to get a lot of beauty and function in that little package.

Thanks very much everyone!:D

Jim, Even tho we may have chosen the same layout somhow I think your shot will be a bit nicer.
(remember what Coop says...."Pro photos don't cost...they PAY!)
Jim has helped me to become a better photographer and is always there when I have a question. Without his photos and his service I would never have made some of the publications I have. If you have been thinking of getting a shot done don't think anymore and get your knife off to Jim. You will not be disapointed.

As for the handle dye I have been using brown leather dye from Tandy.
First coat is full strength then sanded almost all off. Next coat will be cut with some rubbing alcohol to the color I want....there may be more sanding and stain untill I get the look I want then start the oil finish.
Thanks again.
Mace
