So, my son who is 6 yrs old, has a slight fascination with edged items. Actually he just chopped his thumb tip off with a hatchet while camping a week ago. Off the subject the doc said it was a good thing the hatchet was sharp, or instead of a clean cut, the wound would have been jagged and crushed!! I told him i had just sharpened it before we left, needless to say the doc ended up asking for my website addy, before i left. lol
:D.

Anyway back to the subject, my boy for a couple of years when ever he can likes to sneak out in the shop and help me, he got his own anvil, and hammers, etc. though he don't pound much except for cold copper tubing for now, he loves the wooden swords, and knives that i make for him. usually, out of paint sticks from Lowe's. Well i recently had a bunch of spalted maple cut up and thought it would be cool as all get out to make him a blade outta that cause it really resembles a kinda damascus pattern. any way sorry for the long winded intro and here's the pic!!!!!

thanks for look'en

congrats from me as well. My little guy is 2 and I'd do anything for him. Best thing that ever happened to me.
