Here's a slender fighter I just finished. Finally!

Blade : Tremblay W-2 with Hamon 6 3/8"
Fittings : 416 Stainless
Handle : Ferric Nitrate treated curly maple. 5"
Overall : 11 3/8"

First one to do with this style guard, initial plans were to attempt a groove in the spacer, but I think I'll save that for another one, looks good this way. Ran into a little problem drilling the pin hole the first time. I'd drilled it while the handle was a block, and didn't think about things lining up wrong as I'd not yet sanded the guard face and back. So it was slightly off. No problem, I was just gonna drill it out for a bigger pin. Well the drill press grabbed and buggered up the hole, so I busted the handle off. Redid it, and it turned out great, plus the old handle gave me a little half handle shaped testing block for the Ferric Nitrate.

Quite pleased with how it's turned out, just been rubbing some oil onto it now that I've finished it. Just have to make a sheath and sharpen.
