This one was a customer order.

1/8" D2 steel
stabilized birdseye maple
mosaic pins

This is the first time I've used maple and I really liked how it worked. I sanded it down to 2000 grit and put a light coat of tung oil over it. I realize it didn't need it since it was stabilized but it added a little depth to the wood.

Thanks for looking and as always criticizms are encouraged.

The maple finished very nice. You need to find a Knives Illustrated and read the article on the SOS Show. Mike

That's one of the nicest Nessmuks I've seen. The only thing I can say is maybe a little less hump on the top forward part of the blade but that's just my preference. Great job with the knife and sheath.

Ray, the design was provided by the customer and was his request. I would have chosen less "hump" myself when I designed it but it actually works pretty well on the finished knife. Thank you for the kind words. Coming from you it means a lot. You make some very fine knives.

Argel, I sent you an e-mail. I saw that too.

I don't normally even look at nessies (sorry they just don't turn my crank) but this is nice and I love the maple scales.

Compliments are always nice to receive but coming from the likes of those on this forum they are held in a little higher regard. This is a very discerning crowd.

Thank you.
