They are $33, so they are probably made in China. I'm ok with that, if the quality is good. Cutlerylover speaks highly of maratac, but $33? What's the catch?

Do any of you have opinions or experience with the maratacs bobs? Let me know. Thanks.

I was going to sell mine last week since I don't use it much, but the quality is so good for the price that I changed my mind. If you have a use for it, get one and I'm sure you'll be very pleased.

I got the XL Gen 5 around Christmas and It's been my daily carry bag since then. Two months isn't a long time but I've got some miles on it.

It has a divider that is removable which, when in place, makes the bag a decent laptop bag for work.

Its a heavier nylon than I expected. I thought it would be more like the cheap, thin stuff used on day packs like High Sierra or JanSport that you get at WalMart. Not the case.

The end pockets have adjustable elastic cords for securing taller water bottles.

The Velcro used on 'em is very secure.
Zipper doesn't bind and is smooth.
The shoulder pad is removable and has Molle type loops.

I can see getting years of service out of it.

I give it :thumbup:. Get one. I'm probably going to get another XL for my son and a smaller one to use as a range bag.

Yeah, because it's like county comm is always selling cool little idea doo dads, maratac makes bags for them, so I'd imagine alot of thought into them.

I like all the molle on it too.

There's no Molle setup on those B.O.B bags. The EOD bag has it but not the Maratac Bailout Bags.

I get them mixed up, same thing in my opinon. Great price. I'll get one, thanks. Jansport nylon was what was thing of, and didn't want.

I mean, for $40? I've been looking at the Maxpedition bags for $90-150, so it's a bargain imo.

I have the small bag and it's been used as my daily commute pack for over a year. No complaints. Sometimes I wish the two end pockets had a flap to keep those two pockets drier when needed. Other than that it's just right for what I need and a quality product at a decent price.
