Does anyone here own one of these? I'm thinking of purchasing either one of these or a 4Sevens 123 Mini. I've seen a couple reviews of the Maratac 123 and more reviews on the 4Sevens. I'm wondering how the copper holds up to daily wear, etc.

I know a number of people on the forum like the Maratac copper AAA, but those are currently unavailable.

They're a flashy little devil. I keep one on they side table next to my easy chair. They're really not something for searching outdoors but for an instant search on the floor or in between cushions they're just the ticket.

I have the AAA, AA and CR123 Copper Maratac flashlights. They are well made and I think they look better with a nice natural patina. The CR123 is a heavy little light and has no pocket clip and I don't like carrying twisty lights loose in my pocket so I rarely carry it. I use it primarily as a nightstand flashlight. It is the best looking of the 3 IMO.

Thanks for the reply. Do you find the AA pocketable? The AAA copper is out of stock until at least the end of July. the AA is available as is the 123. Good to know the 123 is a bit chunky for the pocket.

My personal preference is to stick to AAs & AAAs. L-ion is a tad too risky for me for any advantages it my have. Even my larger lights are alkaline or ni-cad. Safe and no brainers to recharge. 2xAAs are somewhat long in the pocket but managable as are 2xAAAs. Holsters for them are kinda available if you wish to go that route. My own personal experience with L-ion of any type is that they are not ready for prime-time unless you have equipment and experience with them. They have been known to pop/explode during use or charging. Home fires are not a good experience. I know how but still shy away.

Well now there's something I hadn't considered. I didn't know that cr123 batteries are L-ion. I would agree not worth the risk. And AA and AAA you can get anywhere. And they're cheap.
