Looking for tube sheaths for some old marble knives I have, that I want to carry. Anyone know of any Makers of this type of sheath. I know there's some out there, just haven't been able to locate them.

If anything I'd love to see a picture! :)

EDIT: Is this it?

Similar, but not exactly. Marbles type does have the sewn seam up the back; it also has a leather belt loop, and the
sheath is more form fitted around the handle, also the butt is exposed. thks

Getting a little closer, thats what came up on a search for Marbles tube sheath. :) If you have a pic please post it, some of our sheath makers specialize in those older designs. I'll keep searching as well.

Here's 2 examples of vintage marble knives that are for sale on ebay. 370878357650 and 400545531441 that have tube sheaths,
between the 2 it should give you a pretty good idea.

I'm a low tech man, in a high tech world.

Ah! Its a Scandinavian style sheath with a folded over and riveted (ugh, a no no) belt loop. You dont want that rivet to be exposed on the inside of the sheath, its better sewn.

That style of sheath is not for the beginner, you need someone who has some experience in the making of this style sheath. They are not inexpensive. The time involved in that style of sewing is incredible. I did a lot of this stuff back in my first years, but the time and effort make for an expensive, but very durable sheath. I dont do many of those due to the time and effort involved.

Anyone out there do them regularly? I can do it, but my time is neither cheap or expedient. The wait is long, and the fee is up there. I'm trying to get the wait down, but this is not my specialty.
