Marble's Classic knives?

I have two questions about the Marble’s classic series with the Game getter handles. First, which do you think would be more practical for general camping and fishing chores, the Woodcraft or the Plainsmen? Second, does anyone know how the tang is sealed from moisture? I assume the handles are epoxied in place, but is there any sealant in the guard area? I haven’t seen one, but I doubt the guard is soldered in place, so I am just curious as to how it is held there and sealed. Thanks.

Personally, I would go with the plainsman if it is for general camping and fishing (the woodcraft makes a better skinner, I use to have one). I have not personally looked at one in a while, but I believe it is epoxied on? To be honest this type of handle (gamegetter) is pretty utilitarian. I would go with it. Any kind of leather stacked handle, even with being epoxied coated, will eventually, if used hard, possibly come a little loose (that usually takes a very long time). Ive made many knives using 2 ton water proof epoxy and Ive never had one knife come back to me from failing (the only knives that have ever come back to me, was to have the pivot adjusted on one walker lock and otherwise the others for sharpening).

The stabilized handle of the game getter will be much stronger, and personally, I think more attractive.
