Do you mean saddle cruiser as in double bit hatchet ?
And are you talking about the kne that looks forged, or the one that's bright steel colored ?
'cause the forged one is made by condor in El Salvador and I've heard good things about it, the other is made in china and I've heard that it's junk.

From an earlier thread:

I did a basic review of the Marbles double-bit hatchet when they first came out in 2012 (I'm not sure this is the model you're talking about.)

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/980916-New-design-Marbles-Double-Bit-Hatchet

My updated impression of this hatchet is that the workmanship looks good, the steel seems okay, but I realized that I don't like using a double-bit hatchet, with that back edge on a short handle coming toward me with every stroke. Also, the weight of this one is particularly light (just under a pound including the handle), it seems like it just "pecks" at the wood, and I would prefer using a heavier single-bit hatchet.

Early on in my addiction, did buy a few new axes (don't think I'll ever buy a new axe/hatchet again) one of them was a full size Marbles Dbl bit and used a bit for splitting wood for my barrel stove. The bit seems to be well made and I have know idea what type of wood they use for a haft but it's as fat as a baseball bat maybe this fall I'll thin it down some.
I do understand the thinking about a short haft dbl bit, other than cruiser length that makes a lot sense.
As an aside the Condor Bushlore knife I have is a most excellent product, if I remember correctly a German company shipped all their manufacturing machinery to El Salvador and set up shop.

you guys convinced me. i'll leave the little Marbles alone for now.
besides, lol, i found a nice 81/4 in. 2lb. crusier this weekend, no handle but i've been sawing up and drying some hickory so my "jones" for a little double is cured.
thanks for the input
