I have been using my Fieldcraft (Cocobolo Carver Handle) quite a bit recently, and I am much impressed. I used it yesterday to field dress, skin, and partially process a nice Whitetail buck, and the knife would still shave when I was through. Not hair-popping sharp, but it would still shave some, and had a lot of cutting left in it.

The handle was extremely comfortable in extended use, and the blade shape was perfect for the job.

For a knife I only paid $60.00 for, the performance is incredible. The 52100 steel, the full convex grind...this is one fine little hunting knife.

"the full convex grind.."

I think the convex edge is over looked by nearly everyone.

No convex is not overlooked, its just very few of us want to goof around sharpening it and most convert it to a V grind the first time they do sharpen it. They dont excite me. I tolerate them and when I resharpen I get rid of them. I am too lazy to do whats needed to keep them in that form. I want to stroke the knife on a sharpmaker a couple times and be done.

I use a reverse stropping motion on a 6 inch diamond hone for convex edges, such as marbles and fallkniven, and then strop on an old leather belt. Super easy, super fast, and hair popping sharp. In fact I find this type of edge the easiest to bring up to snuff.
