Here is one you don't see too often. This came from a collector who purchased it directly from the late Dave Shirley. The info I can find on this(please correct me if I am wrong)is that it was made for and sold by AG Russell, somewhat rare as there was only one run(not to be confused with the more numerous Lil Handy). This example has VERY nice stag and 1/4 inch stock of 52-100B vacuum melted steel. The Stewart era Marbles(97-01) are quickly becoming my favorite production knives. I am not sure of the exact year this one was made, I would guess 2000(I have a few emails out to experts for correct info). After these pics, I cleaned much of the oxidation from the pins, out of the grooves with a little mineral oil and Ren wax. This is a stunning knife and am very excited to have it on my hip, speaking of hip, it will be going to Claude Scott for a custom sheath this week. I will update thread with its return from Claude. Here are a few pics and thanks for looking. If you have any pics of your Stewart era Marbles, please post them up!

Incredible score, MT. And I would agree with you about the Stewart-era Marbles knives.

Glad you got another gorgeous Marbles, so I don't have to solely drool over the other one all the time. :D

WOW!! Beautiful! What model is the spearpoint one with the white handle?

Thanks SH and Dan. Dan it is a Loveless Sport, approved by the one and only Robert Waldorf Loveless.

Congrats on a fine acquisition. I remember those from AG Russell. I wish I had bought one when they were available, I've been looking for one for years to no avail.

Robert, according to the spacer colors, that should be from 1999. Nice knife, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Christian, I paid a premium, but to me, well worth it.

Very nice! I have a Campcraft (one of two -- gave the other to my BIL) and a Fieldcraft from Mike Stewart's shop, both with stacked leather grips. They take a breathtaking edge.

Kris, you are so knowledgeable on Marbles, could you possibly give me a ballpark date on the top two knives?

Thanks Ed and Rob. Robert, thank you, but by no means am I an expert. I have been searching and trying to find out what I can. The middle one with the Marbles USA stamp could have been made by Camillus, but again I am still educating myself(please correct me if I am wrong). Here and here are some good reading material.

Thank you Kris! I will look at those pages...I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction!

Of the top two knives in question the top knife could have been made anytime between 2002 and when Camillus started supplying the blade blanks (no USA stamp). The middle knife is a Camillus knife (USA stamp).

Thanks for the info wire eddge, reading your past posts seems like you are very knowledgeable about Marbles knives.

Here is the sheath update, Claude did a beautiful job as always, a tricky pattern he learned from Paul Long.
