new on this site but i picked up a marbles 6 saftey hatchet at an auction and was wondering if anyone know any info on these hatchets and whether they are collectible

Yes they are, don't soak it in vinegar or take sandpaper to it.
At most use a wire wheel and a light touch to remove any rust it may have.

awesome thanks. the hatchet is in great shape! got in a boxlot of tools for 10 bucks. ive seen some on ebay after doing some research for crazy money
