I've got a few question about the marbles no.6 pocket axe. I've recently picked one up and I've been searching for info on the company them self and I can't find much. Does any one know how long the company was manufacturing them in Gladstone mich. USA. A rough idea of of how many where made? Any thing else would also be appreciated. Also I heard they might still be manufacturing them but most likely differnt owners and over seas if this is true. Thanks

They're made overseas now.
Not sure about the timeframe of the Gladstone era, but I think they were made there originally and remained there for a long time. There's a thread here somewhere all about marbles knives which should help as I believe they were pretty much always produced.

They are reproducing (or at least were recently) the No.6 Safety Axe. I think the safety mechanism is now screwed into the handle rather than pinned in place as on the originals.

I've seen video's of the new ones where the safety mechanism was poorly attached and would come out, so I think they're basically just tacking it in.
