I've always been interested in the old Marble's patter with the folding blade shield that acts as a lock once the knife is open. I notice that the made-in-China version is available again (for around a double-sawbuck). Does anyone have experience with one of these current models? (I've seen US-made versions (by Marble's) with 420HC blades for a couple of hundred. That's too much for that steel.)

While I haven't ever used one of those swing guard slipjoints, it is a pretty neat idea. Wouldn't mind having a Case Cheetah with chestnut bone.

Just saw a couple on Ebay. They seem to go for around 25 bucks. Been tempted just wish I could see what the quality is like first.

Maybe Amherst cutlery would make one.

I have one of the new ones And am a proud owner of an original
one For the price is not bad quit good in fact mine came sharp
an seems to stay sharp. fit an finish is great for that price range
My original one has got to expensive to use. So I got the new one as a user. And am very satisfied with it.
