Marbles slipjoint spring fix?

Just got this new marbles large tortoise trapper. Everything opens and closes smooth and great snap. My question is only in closed position one spring sticks up it doesn't affect function but since I'm new to slipjoints I wonder what part of the spring or blade is the issue and how would you fix it?

If the spring sticks up in both the open and closed positions, it can simply be ground down.
If it sticks up in one position only, the blade tang is misformed, and that would have to be ground properly.
