Marbles Trappers?

I bought one about 3 years ago, just to see what they were like. Mine is the large hunter though, not a trapper... I think I paid 17.00 for it at the time.
The fit and finish is actually fairly good. The knife came very sharp, and it sounds like a big mouse trap when the blades snap shut.... In all honesty I don't know how well it holds an edge because I haven't really used it.
There is a very small stamp on the back of one of the blades that says CHINA
Heres a couple pics..

One of the Marbles Jumbo Trappers that I ordered has finally arrived. I have one more trapper and two of the folding hunters coming in. The one I got today is bone and I have to say that I am so far impressed with the fit and finish, lock up and factory edge. We'll see how well it holds an edge. I think it will come close to the quality of the Buck international knives. I'll keep you posted.

I gave one to one of my daughters....It didn't hold an edge very well, but she likes it. I don't care for them much.

i have a Marbles large trapper and folding hunter, both in amber bone. both are very good and the trapper especially with it's 1/2 stops i would say is a close 2nd behind Case. i also have Marbles large Congress and small toothpick in pearl, both very useable knives. i prefer older American knives for their sense of history, but it is also fun to buy a few of quite well made but very inexpensive China ones
