Well, here goes super photographer again!!:) Will attempt to post a couple pictures of the Marble's Bison I received in the mail today.

I got this knife from Bayou LaFourche...it was listed in their "close-out" section...for $58.00.

It is very, very impressive...and the 4 1/2" 52100 blade is very, very sharp. Feels great in the hand...oozes quality. Marble's calls the handle material "Curly Maple". Came with a nice heavy duty leather sheath.

This is my first experience with Marble's knives...looking forward using it.
 
So have you heard the news about Marble's not using 52100 or 5160 any more? They have also gotten rid of most of their natural handle materials. A real shame in my opinion.

Their new blade material is called Alchemite MC and it is supposed to be a very high carbon non stainless but stain resistant steel.

Glad to see that you got this knife for such a great deal, as I think that the Marble's knives in 52100 are going to go up in value in the future. Not that that matters if it is going to be a user.
