When did the Marbles brand go overseas? I know it was quite some time ago.

Don't know- but here's a cool little Marble's story. My dad was in the Navy in WW2 and was with the son of Marble's owner. The dad sent out a group of knives for his son, my dad and members of the group. My dad said it was real nice and was stolen pretty quickly. Too bad, be great to still have it!

Not much of a point anymore since they've closed-up shop for good by filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy (at least until somebody buys the name again.)

I think it was about 10 years ago when they started sourcing from China, El Salvador and Pakistan. When I heard "Pakistan", I knew it wasn't going to last.

Depends, Parker stol....er, barrowed the trademark for a time in the early 90's for German and Japanese knives. The current real Marble's started importing from overseas certain patterns about 4 years ago, when they licensed their name to a man in Tenn.

Thanks. I have a Marbles Outdoors knife that I bought about 10-12 years ago. Sharpest knife that I ever bought from the box. It holds the edge real well. This one has a Semi-Hard rubber grip and is sure one of my favorite users for big game hunting.

Some Marbles traditional fixed blade designs remained made in the USA till the last. The non-stainless blades were still US-made.

I have a Marbles Trailcraft I bought 6 years ago. It is non-stainless and holds a fantastic edge.

They made some fantastic knives. I have one that was made , as I understand it, by Bark River ( or the owner of BR M. Stewart) in 52100. It's a great knife.
