Let me step in here on the newsletter/membership situation. The BCCI spends a considerable amount of money sending out paper copies of BCCI newsletter. If you have requested and pay for the paper version you should be receiving one, except for some glitch in joining the club. If you are an electronic member you will only receive a email version of it. I recently cancelled my paper newsletter and asked to be switched to a email version to save the club money. The same goes for the Buck catalog and price list. It costs the club $4.00 to mail it to you. If it is just another catalog to throw on the pile please email BCCI and have them drop you from the list. I am doing that also because I don't use it in any fashion.
The club is under dollar stress just like a lot of folks are, BCCI made most of its funds by selling the special club knives that it paid for Buck to make. They have not sold well recently. There are still some unsold from several years ago. In the March newsletter it was mentioned that the club President and Vice President were stepping aside after many years in office. They both felt that new blood and new energy would be good for the club.
Officers are usually elected at the annual club meeting during the Blade Show. They both will remain active members of the club. Until this change occurs send a email to get your foul-ups fixed or to ask any questions. See the BCCI website for info. on how to do that.
