March Gathering picture thread.

Hi folks -

Here are some of the pictures I took at the gathering this weekend - I had a great time.

I just want to remind the guys that attended - It'll only hurt for a little while. :foot:

Gatherings always revolve around food - John shared Chili Cheese Johnsonville Brats - yum!

After lunch, the Horse Shoe contest started up -

Follow-through is everything -

I was lucky to win the competition, and earned this great prize, the JK Horseshoe Knife! It's a beauty!

rayban made the trip up to visit - glad he did - very cool fellow!

udtjim was honored, this was his knife that John had brought -

Next up the slingshot competition!

jds1 Jeff was the big winner, proving himself a great shot!

Sean did a little batonning with his new Trapline -

Seems like cocktails and tomahawks are finding a place at our gatherings!

Mr. K brought a bottle of Apple Pie Shots - that was some tasty stuff!

We had a little fun shooting the slingshots at empties - we did clean up after ourselves.

rayban brought us all a gift of a cool paracord bracelet! Another member of the forum made these - I will update with the appropriate credit when I figure it out, but THANKS!!

Then we had our campsite steak dinner. Yum! I used my Horse Shoe Knife to eat with.

Kirill used a SAK as his steak knife.

Steve used the Marbles cleaver that Sean provided to the winner of the slingshot competition (Jeff) to make an "Indian throwing stick"

It was chilly all day, so the warm campfire was welcome company!

Jeff cooked up a wonderful skillet breakfast in the cool morning.

We let the fire die down, policed up the campsite and cabin and headed off to our homes, putting another epic JK Gathering in the books.

Thanks to all who participated, provided food, supplies, alcohols, gifts and / or companionship!

Looking forward to the May gathering!

Yes you do! Everyone admired the Cutlass, but I could not get Mr. K to swing it around, even after the apple pie shots! Notice also that I had used my Wasteland Leatherwork Apocalyptic sheath that Noah made for my JK Gamblers' Bowie - the mottling on the sheath is a very good match for the snakewood!

Notice also that I had used my Wasteland Leatherwork Apocalyptic sheath that Noah made for my JK Gamblers' Bowie - the mottling on the sheath is a very good match for the snakewood!

Too bad he wouldn't do it. Next year we'll have to have a get together on National Talk Like A Pirate Day. He'll do it then.
That sheath is a perfect match. I noticed that right away. I love it.
