Alrighty then, I got home from work yesterday and there was a package at the door. One look at the Idaho address on the front and I knew the August Izula had arrived. My BRKT Mini Canadian got the honor of opening the new member's package. (That didn't sound right did it?)

Anywooh! The camera just doesn't do these knives justice, but I tried to get the first moments and uses on record. Mrs. Spark wants me to dress her new Izula in some orange para cord. I'll be hunting some of that down later today.

Thanks for being so generous RAT Cutlery! Now enjoy the Pics!

Very nice. I noticed the patina on the Barkies right off too. Looking good.

John, what model is the larger Barkie?

My question is whether those new potatoes came out of your garden or the grocery store?

That is the Aurora.

Jeff, our garden consists of herbs and tomatos only this year. We had 56 trees taken out last year. I finished a re-grading and re-seeding operation during the spring and the yard is just now getting in decent shape. Next year we will plant the garden as it should be.

Are you going to keep this one naked?

It'll get a wrap of orange paracord once I find some.

The Izula kit is pretty amazing isn't it? After having received my generous contest knife and kit from the June contest I totally regretted not buying the full kit on my original Izula.

One thing is for sure about the Izula - its a blade that seems to have no qualms about having multiples of. These things are just so great to stow away in handy little spots!

Damn, this reminds me I need to pick up another Izula. I think I'll get a black one next and then maybe a DT one.

Nice set of knives. I love barkies too! by the way, great wrapping job--i really like the final knot
