Most of you know that I very much enjoy sets of knives from Makers and usually not just one piece...here's an example! :D

To my luck and Rick's 'misfortune' I've been able to acquire these marvels from the past 3 Blade Shows. The Musso Bowie did not arrive to Atlanta in time to enter for 'Best Bowie', the D-Guard was worn around during the show 2 years ago and the Neo Tribal Dagger made the rounds this year on Rick's side, all to my benefit. ;)

Love the copper bits and look forward to others of this magnitude. I have a couple of his Rifleman's knives and a necker or two, they are all extraordinary and scream "RICK MARCHAND" from across the room or wherever they may be.

I don't know how many of you have had the chance to check out Rick's work but his leather is Out of This World....absolutely bullet-proof and amazingly detailed and constructed....some of the very best.

And now for REAL photographs of such....

That is one very fine and unique set. Great pictures! Love Rick's work. Thanks for sharing them. Mike

I was really relieved at Blade this year, to find out from Rick himself that the handles are not cracked or damaged and the "string" wrap is on there on purpose.:D

He does do very good and very unique work.....I cannot even criticize his leather 'cause that's great too!

Rick is one of my all time favorite makers.

Do NOT tell him I said this.

His Musso Bowie is the finest example of this style, for me. Nothing better than it.

Seems like you have developed a bit of an addiction to that evil hemp weed.;)

Rick Marchand's looney personality on this forum caught my attention right away. At one point he even posted a photo of himself suggestively biting a hammer. It was a while later that I saw his knives and was really impressed with their brutal sophistication.

Real beauties Thanks for sharing them.

Your collection covers so many different styles. Really impressive and Thanks for taking the time and sharing the pictures.

Yeah, he does all right, I guess. If you're into that kind of thing. :D

I've gotten to handle each of these. Glad to see they're staying together.

Neat to see them all together like that. Each, a year or two apart. I can't decide whether I'm consistent in my style or trapped in a box! Ha! If it is indeed the latter, I'm still enjoying the Box-Party in here. BYOB!

I got a copy of the original specs for that Musso Bowie from another maker, here on BF. I was very impressed with the size of this piece... and learned that it is pronounced "Boo-ie".... how aboot that, eh?

The D-Guard Bowie was a collaboration with our very own Lorien. Mostly his vision, I forcibly beat some of my "look" into it... mainly while dragging it behind my car!(Yes, I own a car... the sled dogs are pissed.)

The Neo Tribal Dagger... I really don't know what to say about this one. Dudley, I hope you are up to date on your immunization shots!

Thanks for posting this, my friend ... and I tip my hat to Jim and Eric for the great photos... yours too, Dudley

Paul Long... Thanks for the kind words on the leather work. I look forward to your "actual thoughts" via email... lol.

Mecha... I think I posted that pic in response to the Miley Cyrus "Wreaking Ball" video.

Miley n Me gettin' sexy, y'all! (this may haunt your dreams.)

that D guard collab was super fun! And I'm happy to announce that Rick and I are expecting! Our second offspring :)

oh, and by the way, here's the heavily used Marchand trio that often accompanies me on my trail building sessions;

I like all three of those, but particularly the one in the middle.
