The annual Marietta Mansion Park Marching Through Time timeline event is coming up on the weekend of April 22-23, 2006. Below is a link on how to get there from the Washington, DC, Capitol Beltway. Any of you in the area, come on out and watch me and my friends "gang a viking!" We will be there with the Gyrfalcon, our 4 man faering boat and will be doing basic sorts of Norse things.
Legio XX will be there for the Romanophile among you and, as a special treat, Steven Peffley will be there with his assorted collection of lethal Celtic weaponry. If you have always wondered what in Hell a falx was, he gives very scary demonstrations of just what they were and why the Romans hated them so. There will be other groups as well. There were Kansas Border Raiders last year, some of Napoleon's troops, an encampment of men at arms from the 15th Century and so on. You get the picture.
