marine dress knife

i wasnt sure it would ever get done but at least i have it half way as i am making 2 for the order
blade is cpm154 at 59 Rc high buffed finish
handmade handle composite to represent blood stripe on NCO and up blue pants
nickel silver gaurd and butcap 400 grit hand rubbed

but i would have to cut it into 18 inch parts to get it into my kiln

maybe one day when i build a new kiln thats about 36 inch long will i try something realy long

yes yes it does you willing to help out on a project or 2
i just have to find a ride to a forge now till OCT im a non driving fool

and yes it does feel nice to make a kabar like this some how i managed to go 4 years in the corps and not ever own one

and hell i still dont but one of these days i will i even know how its going to look
same type handle with damascus blade Timascus gaurd and but cap should be nice

well both this one and the next one are sold but maybe i can talk the guy (he ordered 2) into letting me take it and show it off some places now and then till i get more made and make more i will but most likely a little different

so when is the next meeting might just hold on to it till then

Meetings are the 2nd Monday of the mounth....so that makes it 8/14/2006. Hope to see you then.
