great looking knife, but the I don't care for the lanyard hole, it looks like it's either trying to be an impact point (IE ESEE 3Mil) or a screwdriver, but with that large hole there I wouldn't want to cause any torque on that area. YMMV
Thanks for sharing
I'm pretty sure Craig Boddington is a hunter and gun writer. He writes for Guns and Ammo. And I've never heard of his involvement with any knife designs.
From Charlie Davis of Anza Knives:
As featured in the May issue of GUNS and AMMO!!*** I am pleased to be able to offer this handmade Anza Knife - MADE IN THE USA, that bears the name BODDINGTON! These knives were designed by C.T. Boddington in collaboration with Anza founder and master craftsman Charlie Davis. C.T. Boddington is a noted outdoors writer, shooter, big game hunter, safari hunter and all around authority on the outdoors world. You may see his columns in GUNS and AMMO as well as many other prestigious publications. He has authored too many columns and books to keep track of. As you may be aware of, C.T. Boddington is a reserve MARINE, and as such knows what it takes to have a tool upon which your life depend. This knife is designed to serve you well in your field needs..and to possible save your life. The lanyard loop can serve a practical purpose... or crack through something solid. This solid steel knife, once a metal file .... is ready for adventure ... are you? The Boddington here is the Tactical model which is starting to be favored by MARINES and other tactical operators. Great for Law Enforcement or Swat! This particular knife has a 4" blade and is 8 7/8 overall. The rough Black Micarta grips look and fells great. Micarta is designed to provide a firm grip even when wet with some kind of substance.
Unless I'm mistaken and the OP made this knife, it's an Anza Boddington and can be had without the protruding tang. I had a custom version with a rounded tang and "jungle" etching at one point.
Yea they even etched "Boddington" to the tang of the knifeHe designed the Anza named after him (to the point that it's still distinctively Anza).
