Video Entry....
Ok, let me preface my entry with this:
Sorry about the visual aids, I can't afford paracord right now and I didn't have a knife with a suitable sheath. Cardboard was the best I could do so I hope you can see past the chintziness of my little demonstration. For some reason, I was nervous as heck and felt I made myself look like an ass on youtube so please don't laugh at me. Before you ask, my knuckles say 'Hard Luck' and 'ACAB' (which stands for 'Always Courageous And Brave' and not 'All Cops Are Bastards' or "Always Carry A Bible'). I get that all the time so I figured I'd put it out there. Without further ado:
I've always been a fan of feudal Japanese culture and ingenuity. Some of the most elegant inventions for day-to-day problems were also the simplest. One of these inventions was the Tasuke which basically amounted to a narrow strand of cloth used to tie billowing kimono sleeves back when those of the samurai class were performing a task that required their arms to be free of dangling fabric. In the video, I mention that they did this before battle but really it was done before anything ranging from writing poetry to going to the bathroom. The Tasuke was held lightly in the teeth and deftly wrapped around one's shoulders and tied tightly to one side of the chest. It sounds simple but is actually pretty neat to watch when performed by someone who's adept. I thought it would also be a really cool way to set up an instant shoulder rig with the paracord one might have wrapped around a concealex or kydex sheath. Some of the benefits are that the tasuke-rig is simple, is easily put on in seconds, can be put on while running, stores wrapped around the sheath, and is easy to adjust once it's on. In the video, I demonstrate (clumsily) the way I would set up a tasuke-style shoulder rig on a sheath. Ayway, I hope it gives you guys some ideas.

You worked so hard to get this going I decided I would share my "boot knife" with you...I'm sure it would work even better with one of your sheaths.

Sorry, the outlet for the striped para-cord is proprietary....
Alright, in addition to the dangerous "boot knife" there is always the favorite "hat knife" if you are not prone to bumping your head into things............

Here is the first, and older one.
An Idea I had for using my ka-bar and a small kit, but on a harness.
