Mark II Bren Gun Manual?

I bought a decomissioned (receiver is properly cut) Bren Gun on eBay.

The receiver is cut in three places and it can not fire. This is fine with me.

However it came very much dissassembled. I have spent some time trying to assemble it into the original configuration without success.

The receiver (parts) for instance, ride on a rail system that is still intact. I can slide the receiver pieces down this rail, but I can not figure out how the barrel attaches? Where the bolt goes? How the tripod is supposed to attach?

It may be that I don't have all the pieces. I do have three barrels. There are quite a few mystery pieces.

Does anyone have a manual or exploded (sorry about that) diagram?

Hope this helps!

Gotta love a place that can tell you where to find a good burger, an honest tool, and a diagram to a Bren Mark ll.

I gotta say Amen! to Munks comment. This really is my kind of place. I gotta go home and look at my old copy of WHB Smith's Small Arms of the World and see if it has anything to contribute on the subject.

I was doing some reading about the Owen gun and noticed that the site had some interesting info on the Bren (especially how one gunner employed it against snipers). The info is towards the bottom of the page here.

Thanks for the blow up. I have had one since grade school.
A B17 tail gunner brought it back. It was time that Lend Lease went the other way.
It just sat in his garage until he gave it to me. I played war.
